Ok so i was wondering if anyone knew how to tell the difference from this picture if its a b18b or b18c?? this is the only picture i have. sorry. but if you can tell the difference please let me know. I did this post in the civic thread because the engine is in a civic.

Its not a gsr.. You have an ls

Could be a b20, check on the block in between the tranny and exhaust manifold. Should be a flat spot with a couple letters and numbers

It could be any b series Like virgneg6 say look at block stamp should tell you and you can google it should have all the specs for you car but form the look of it look like an b18b which is non vtec mostly for integra ls. The intake manifold and valve cover is different from the b18c

Hey you guys thanks for the info there. I would check on the block but I haven't gotten this car, and its one I might buy Its outta state, so I can't just go look at it.

Did the seller say it was a B18c or use words like GSR or type R?


+1 on camera phone.. have seller take a pic before you drive up there..


by the looks of the rad hose, it looks like the seller didnt really get into the fit and finish of the swap.. so be careful..

i hope you know what to look for if you drive to look at it
