Default 95 Civic speedometer question

I just bought a 95 Civic DX, and the speedometer doesn't work. I tested the VSS, and it wasn't working, so I replaced it with a brand new one. Still not working, so I'm assuming it's not being powered (voltometer didn't register any amperage). However, it seems that the previous owner did a lot of rewiring. The fuse box is all brand new, every electrical connector I see looks brand spanking new. Hell, even the bolts inside the fuse box look brand new.

I can trace the yellow & white wire all the way to the fuse box, but I haven't been able to track down the other 2 wires. I can't tell where (if there even is any) a fuse in the fuse box is for the speedometer.

The odometer also does not work, but the remaining lights on the dash work & the fuel gauge kinda works.

Not sure if any of that pertains to my problem, but there it is.

What would be the best way of tracking down the power problem?

This is my first Honda ever, so pardon my ignorance. I'm used to working on a Saturn.

You only posted this 90 minutes ago. When someone reads this that can help they will respond. This is a pretty significant weekend. I'm sure people have things to do.

go to hondahookup .com and download the service manual. requires you to register but its free.

once you do have the manual find the wiring diagram for the instrument cluster

if your already acquainted with working on cars, you can get the job done when you have the wiring diagram
