weird misfire
cylder 1 misfire, replaced dizzy, plugs, wires, injector off of my old motor from my wrecked ek ;( that engine is in much better shape compared to my current one both motors are d16y8, went to check timming the tensioner was loose witch lead me to belive I might have bought a car with bent valves great! retnsioned timming belt and triple checked timming, the marks were lined up, still missing checked compression (dry) 90-110 psi on all four cyl. after 4-5 pumps (engine has 200000 miles) im stumped I even went as far as swapping the ecu wich had no codes koeoff mil stayed lit with new ecu???? I forgot my pocket scanner at work ,, have I forgot to do anything?
I am planning on swapping motors but im worried about having a posiblle wiring harness issue

Re: weird misfire
I hope you did those tests correctly because you either have issues with the valves or the engine is due for some freshening. MINIMUM healthy compression is 135psi each.

Re: weird misfire
is your compression staying at that psi or will it leak an drop after a min and
also is your plug wires in right order might have 2 or all wires mixed an thought its the right order

Re: weird misfire
ignition is correct valve core is in compression tester so it wont leak.... correct me if im wrong but in order to loose pressure correctly tdc would be nessesary and I have yet to do a leak down test with a leak down tester I think it may be an injector problem switched the old injector back,, ran a lil better but still missses my buddys comin over with a solus tomarow hes has scope too

I've seen a damaged intake manifold gasket lead to misfire symptoms and CEL code. You can spray water around the gasket to see if it starts to choke
