Weird Idle Problem

Weird Idle Problem
Hi! New to the forum, just got a Honda with a B16 engine. No CEL. When I let off the clutch at a stop light or whatever my idle sits at around 2k, but when I blip the throttle it goes back down to around 1k (where it should sit) any ideas on what could be causing it?

Re: Weird Idle Problem
1k is still too high. My car does the same thing. I have an old *** edelbrock tb and the butterfly in it hangs up and hits the housing. I'm too broke to get a new one. I doubt that's your issue tho.
Start by cleaning the tb out. It may just be gunk making it stick. If that doesn't help, adjust the idle speed and make sure the cable is lubed and adjusted properly.

Re: Weird Idle Problem
Clean the throttle body out and check the cable to see if its to tight or getting stuck.
Also vacuum leaks can cause a hunting idle.
