Vtec wont work
hey been usin this place for info on my car for a while now and has always been a great help but am stuck at the moment i have a 93 jap import civic originally 1.5 lsi but has had a b16a conversion from a 91 civic have had d car for quiet a while but rarely drive it had vtec problems before so i changed the oil and filter and cleaned the vtec solenoid and it worked after dat . car was parked up since and now i have the same problem again dont know much bout ecu codes etc ............... just need a cheack list of common things to see if i can find an answer ...................would a dodgy fuel pump be the cause and if so is the fuel pump from a d16z6 the same ............

no cat in her hi straight thru only way to go lol got new oil n filter for her today and disconnected the battery for a while see if it makes a difference ......... also checked the solenoid wit a wire from the battery and it works still dont know how to check the wire going in to the car hopefully ill get some answers here soon

found a thing on here this mornin bout bridgin 2 wires down by the ecu to try and get engine codes but didnt work wit my motor theres no engine lights r *** all on few weeks ago oil light was comin on but the level was fine so dunno has me confused ...........................

that could be your problem there just some problems with the wires because if that is the case it is just not reading that you have enough oil pressure for the vtec to engage and it wont unless there is enough
