A toggle switch, but maybe you should just buy a P28 ecu. The only nice thing about a toggle switch is that you can engage VTEC at your convenience.

That won't do anything but let the cam go into it's more aggressive cam setting.
For VTEC to work you need to the proper ECU. For a 92-95 SOHC VTEC you need a P28. I don't know what you need for a Y8.
A toggle switch will let you switch to your car's more aggressive cam lobing, but it won't change the ignition or fuel maps.
That won't do anything but let the cam go into it's more aggressive cam setting.
For VTEC to work you need to the proper ECU. For a 92-95 SOHC VTEC you need a P28. I don't know what you need for a Y8.

So true...buy a P28...sorry I misled you...I ran a toggle switch, but had a P30.

Switching over to VTEC at any point other than the factory setting will net less horsepower.
Honda engineered VTEC to utilize the optimum power range of both cam lobes. It's pointless to change what they have already designed.
Installing the correct ECU is the only way to go.

you really don't wanna go through all that trouble running a couple wires for the v-tec to work, just buy a p28 for about 130-150 and you be fine.

As most others said..P28 . Get a P28 and be done with dat shiz. Around here I couldn't find a Manual P28..I picked up an auto P28 and converted it. Been in there for about 1 1/2 months now and loving it
