valve ajustment

Default valve ajustment

could improper valve adjustments cause a hella rough idle on a d15b w/ a z6 head?

the setup:
98 civic
jdm d15b (obd2)
z6 head
obd1 dizzy

completely possible.......especially if some valves are more out of adjustment than others......causing the airflow to vary both in volume and velocity. if they were all out of adjustment or all the intakes or all the exhaust valves are out of adjustment then id say this would be less likely. its a simple enough process...........might as well check to be sure.

thanx homie. this is really pissing me off!!! its my fault tho. i checked everything...EVERYTHING...except the valves. simple enough. ill do it in the morning.

I agree.

What do you mean by you checked everything? In my experience, the most common causes on Civics are air in the coolant and dirty throttle bodies.

Valve adjustment can make or break an engine.
Check your timing while you're at it, that could cause it as well.

As for checking the valves-it's worth it just to make sure...just make sure the engine is cold. Good luck!

when i say everything, im refering to timing, wires, plugs, tb, etc. like i said everything. regardless, it was the valves. my car is running beautifully now. for those that offered advise and useful input, thank you.
