Bent Valves on JDM D15B
I am looking to replace the head on a JDM D15B. My buddy has bent 4 valves on it after snapping the timing belt. I know that the motor is basically a z6 head on a z1 block. Can I just replace the head with a z6 head and z6 head gasket and go? Thanks.

Re: Bent Valves on JDM D15B
Thank you. I thought that was how it was going to work, but figured I would ask anyways. With my luck it'd be some minute detail I overlooked. Thanks again.

Pistons look fine. Head isnt cracked, but it was cheaper to get a z6 head than to get new valves and get the seats and guides done.

Re: Bent Valves on JDM D15B
lets see...200 for valve job...100 for the valve guides to be replaced (i believe in replacing them) 10 bucks per exhaust valve (as needed) 15 bucks per intake valve (as needed) and 15 bucks per valve seat as needed. yeah i could have gotten you your done head for under 450 bucks. closer to 400 with the valves and seats replaced that you bent. i'm sure others could have too. so did you get a head that was fresh off the mill from a valve job for a good price? i'm curious as to what it costed you
