v-tec solenoid???
whats up, i know that the solenoid is what basically what kicks v-tec on so what would an aftermarket solenoid help??? power or problems? Like an edlebrock solenoid or some ****.

no, a solenoid is a solenoid they all work the same... some be more bling bling than others but in real life they all work the same. Best thing to do is go to Honda a get a new screen for your stock one or get crab cleaner and clean your stock one that is if it is dirty...

Yep. A solenoid is nothing more than an open/close valve. As long as you have enough oil pressure to move the hydraulic thingamabobs (don't know what the hell they're called) to engage the VTEC profile of your cam, it doesn't matter what kind of solenoid you have. Stock is just fine.
Like I said, it's an open/close system. No inbetween positions.
