Unknown b series distributor!?
Hey guys, im trying to find out where this distributor came from. I told my boss to get me a 94 gsr cap because i wantes to change it. Turns out, the new cap is bigger by 1/8 of an inch. One screw can go in, but the others wont. I remember all vtec dizzys are the same between obd. I then told my boss get me a 93 civic ex dizzy and it fit with no issues. Car runs and everything else.. Gsr/si/del sol vtec all have different part numbers for the dizzy and cap. Thought it was a d series, but ruled that out.. What dizzy do i have?

There seems to be quite a bit of misinformation both with the general assumptions you have and the info you provided to your specific post. Without getting too involved with any of that, you should be able to find a stamping/marking on one of the legs for the distributor that will shed some light on what it actually is.

What if its an aftermarket dizzy? The only marking i have seen(couldnt take dizzy off because i was at work) was RAI 120.. I tried googlIng that, but couldnt find anything. Lol. Will inspect tomorrow

Well, as an example...I know that the TD-44U (B16A3) and TD-68U (B18C) are interchangeable between OBDI GSR and Del Sol VTEC...but they have some differences...internal vs. external icm mounting screws and the caps are different sizes. You may be looking at something along those lines.
EDIT: some pics when available would be the best help in determining what you have (hopefully you capture some stampings)

Re: Unknown b series distributor!?
Here's some dizzy facts:
-Distributors must be matched to the OBD of the ECU. OBD1/2a/2b distributors can only be used with OBD1/2a/2b ECUs. That is that OBD1 distributors will work with OBD2a/b ECU and vice versa. Neither OBD1/2a/2b can be used with an OBD0 ECU because some of the internals are different in the OBD0 distributor from the OBD1/2 Distributor.
-All DOHC VTEC b-series distributors will bolt up to any DOHC VTEC b-series cylinder head (B16, B17, B18) but not to non-VTEC DOHC b-series (B18a/b, B20b/z) without modification.
-All DOHC non-VTEC b-series (b18a/b, b20b/z) engine distributors are compatible with each other in relation to bolt pattern
-All SOHC non-VTEC motor distributors (including D16Y8 SOHC VTEC) have compatible bolt patterns and will bolt up with each other with no modification. The unique SOHC Distributor bolt patterns are the D16Z6, D15B (SOHC VTEC) and the D15Z1 and will bolt up to each other but won't perfectly bolt up to any other SOHC motor.
-Don't know the stats of F and H series but if anyone would like to add feel free as I would like to know as well. Please feel free to correct or add to this.

Well gsr, si, and del sol all have different distributors. I looked up the part numbers. Si and del sol are p30, and gsr is p72. Found on majestic honda and carland acura. I know i have a b series vtec, but just wondering which one i have.

Take it off and check the side not facing up. The pictures you provided don't even focus on the legs (flange that bolts directly to the head).
