I believe the one from a D16Z6 is the only interchangeable distributor that you can use.

I do not know yet. I bought the car as a shell and just recently dropped the motor in, I dont have the ditributor and other misc parts to start it. I was just wondering before I purchase the part if I can get away with using another distributor.

You need one from an SI (P08)

One from a CX/DX would be a (P06)

What was in the Del-Sol for a motor?

Its an si, so all it had before was the original motor.

My problem is not having any type of distributor on the motor currently, Im trying to take the economical route and find one that can work.

92-95 D16Z6 is the only other one that will bolt up perfectly. However the Z1 in that car is going to cause you a ton of wiring headaches if you attempt to run it on the stock ECU.
