Default Which trans do I need?

I was wondering which is transmission is the best for my car. I have a 96 HX and I was told to put the Y8 trans in it but I was wondering if there was a better one.

its a differential that limits the amount of "slip." Basically with a regular, open differential, when one wheel starts spinning, it just keeps spinning as you apply more power. with an lsd, there's a point where the power gets sent the other way, to the other wheel. so its great for traction. there's a few different types of lsds.

check out http://www.howstuffworks.com to get a good idea about it.

yeah...limited slip keeps power to both wheels...whereas with an open differential doesnt send power evenly to both wheels
