Can someone help me out? Exhaust related...
Before I installed the Greddy Evo exhaust on my 93 CX, it became necessary for me to drive without a muffler at all for a few days. Im not sure why, but my car sounded very choppy and over-saturated like an 8 cylinder on flowmasters would.
Now with the Evo on, the exhaust is absolutely silent. No grunt at all. I bought this exhaust because I wanted it to be quiet, but not totally silent. Any ideas? Could a clogged cat cause this? Thanks.

I have had my evo on for about 2 years now. With the cat installed it is pretty quiet, but without it, it is loud! When it was brand new, with the cat still in, it was damn near silent. If your cat was clogged you would notice a lag, or boggy feeling.

But what about the v-8 sound? I've driven without a muffler before on other Honda's and it sounded nothing like that...

you bought an exhaust system with a muffler. The muffler muffles the sound. You also have a 1.5 8 or 12 valve motor.

the choppy-ness from the engine is a lack of tuning.. you have some air-fuel mixture issue.. probably timing that's slightly off as well.. clean up the timing and adjust the afr and the choppyness should go away unless you have some other vaccuum leak.
as far as the exhaust goes.. the EVO is supposed to be quiet.. especially on a SOHC. even my N1 isn't very loud on my d16
