Timing Question?
Hey i was wondering i just checked the timing on my D15B Vtec and it seems to be off about 1/4-1/2 from TDC!!! When i use the timing light!!! Is that bad!!!? can that cause my car to overheat since im having overheating problems when i put a thermo on it!!!

I doubt it's your overheating problem.
Make sure your thermo is working correctly, stick it in a pot and heat it up. See what temp it opens up at.
It wouldn't hurt to flush the radiator either. Check the radiator cap.
And lastly a lot of people lately have been having Fan relays going out, check that out as well.

Yeah but i mean my **** heats up in a 2 block drive!!! I mean really really fast. Also its like the 3 thermo i buy and sam thing also pump is new and as for relay fans turn on w/o thermo so that means they work!!!! Also is there a diffirence in the VX Thermo and The regular d16 etc thermos!? I mean the dealer has it with diff. part # and its more expensive and its special order!!!

Have you changed the HG or anything?
Its kinda off-the-wall question, but if you changed the thermo 3 times, i really dont think thats your problem lol.

I'm 99% sure that if the d15 vx and the d16 had differen't operating temps it would only be 10-15 degrees. Not significant.

Eh...coolant doesnt necessarily always have to turn a brownish color in your reservoir
