ticking noise coming from tranny?

ticking noise coming from tranny?
my tranny makes a ticking noise when i get off the clutch and when i push in the clutch slighty then the ticking goes away. This all began after i had a new ACT clutch put in because my stock one had a piece break off, i also put in a new heavy duty pressure plate and i think it came with a throw out bearing. Well anyway its been a year now and its still ticking, what can this ticking be? its daily driven and on occasion i beat the hell out of it at the track. And also when i push on the release fork in the engine bay it stops ticking as well. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it?
