street "legal"?
Alright so iv been reading alot on HT that people have been getting pulled over because their cars look "modified", well i live in CA where i hear is pretty bad due to this issue, i mean i'v never had anything like this happen to me but i was actually planning on boosting my D and was simply wondering if that would get me into any beef with the local cops, i live near the Fresno area if that helps anyone understand my situation. Not that it is one lol but still just wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me what is and is not legal around here. Thnx

Re: street "legal"? (96 hatch)
Keep your car at stock height (or very small drop if you wish)
Very quiet exhaust (RSR, Greddy Evo, WS2)
and stock looking wheels and you should be ok.

Modify the car with C.A.R.B.-legal parts, and you won't have an issue. There's a reason why the laws are so stringent and strictly enforced, and it isn't because your air quality is like a remote Himalayan village's.
