help with alarm
ok, im looking at a page with electrical accesories, and it lists 3 part numbers for the stock security
23262 - SECURITY UNIT
23274 - ATTACHMENT, SECURITY
220434 - ATTACHMENT, SECURITY
my queston is, do i need all three? im not sure if i have one or not, and am looking for some security, atleast a little, when i move to the "big" city. even though car theft isnt a common problem here, i just dont want to take the chances.

Re: stock security unit (Frickr)
Wouldn't it be better to just take it to an alarm shop and have them install one for like $200 bucks? For $200 I got 3 remotes, adjustable vibration sensor, ignition kill, microphones that listen for the sound of glass breaking, hood and trunk switches to set off the alarm if either is opened, and a backup battery in case someone disconnected the car battery. It's a Viper system. I figure that's better than nothing.

Re: stock security unit (sageuvagony)
i had the most reputable shop around put my stereo in, and i ended up having to tear out all their work and put it in right, and finish the job they never did. so i dont think im gonna let them do anything else. plus where i live, half the people still leave the keys in their car so i dont need to go all out. i live in f'n north dakota. not much crime anywhere in the state.
