Default Viper alarm

I am looking for other people's thoughts on the Viper 350 system. I currently have it and not looking to replace it but what the thoughts are on it. I am thinking of also adding on:

Audio Glass Break Sensor
Digital Tilt Motion Sensor
Invisibeam® Field Disturbance Sensor
Another Siren

Granted this will not keep a person from taking the car, just another issue for them to over come. Or do I just set the sensor on high and leave it be?

Thanks

You should add a backup battery DEI 520T into the bag of tricks but replace the battery that's included with something of higher capacity/quality. I'm using a battery from a UPS and it's small enough to hide. Some kill switches would be beneficial as well.

Is this a 2way paging alarm?

Yes it is, so the keyfob will vibrate and beep should the alarm activate. That is why I asked about making the sensor at 100%. Now I assume they could cut the main system board out, if they did that now the siren would stop no? If so that is where the battery comes into play?

It's up to you as far as sensitivity of the sensors goes. I find it annoying when the alarm is going off every so often. I set mine to only go off when needed. Play around with it to find out what you like.

If you perform a stealth installation of your alarm, the thief will not cut any system boards. A backup battery would keep it going, and additional sirens will annoy the thief to the point where they will just give up. It's all about layers.

Sorry one last question, since this was originally installed by a DEI installer, do I need to have them do this, or can I?

You know your own level of knowledge with electronics. I can't tell you if you can or can't install it. There's enough information on the internet about electronics and car alarms where you can learn to do it yourself if you take the time to read.
