squeeking sound while idling
Im hearing this squeeking sound when the car is idling which goes away when the engine is at or above 1000 rpm. Bugs the hell outta me, sounds like its coming from one of the belts, I already changed the timing belt and powersteering belt, and yet the sound remains. Could it be the other belt or something different?

Re: squeeking sound while idling (Chez'sExCoupe)
had the same problem....turned out to be the water pump. Does your car overheat? Is your coolant majically disappearing?

Have you made sure all the belts are adjusted properly? My 97 EJ was doing the same and after a little belt tweek it was fine.

If disappearing coolant and overheating are symptoms of a fucked water pump then thats not it, flushed rad in the summer havent noticed any coolant dissapearing.
But I will check if the belts are adjusted, any other suggestions?
