Default Speedometer not working

So i have a 96 hatch with a b16a2 swap and my speedometer doesn't work. I was told from a few people that its the speed sensor. I got a speed sensor, changed it, and it did absolutely nothing. Anyone know what could be the problem?

where'd you get the speedo sensor from?
they're retarded, and they also get dirty.
i took one out of a workin trans and put it in, and it didn't work.
but then i used a diff one and it worked fine.
fyi, they're all the same i think, so you can just snag a d series.
i have like 3 i snagged when i went to the junk yard, all d series, all work.

Any CEL codes?

Is 7.5A fuse 15 under the dash blown?

Is the blue wire attached to the ICM in the distributor?

Pull the CEL codes by jumping the service connector.

Spray some choke cleaner in your speed sensor and clean it out that worked for me and it worked fine after that

I got this same problem, where everything on cluster works except speedo. My tach does work though. And sometime when I hit a bump the needle will jump to the right speed. What do I need to do??
