Spark and fuel but no start and over heating
My old 93 civic was overheating and as I tore apart the cooling system to test the water pump I got a no start. It has fuel and spark. I think that it is low spark voltage. I tested my coil and it read .1 ohms when its supposed to read .6 ohms. I was just going to replace the whole distributor with a used one from the local import auto part store. I was thinking that if I just bought a coil something else is probably on its way out.
In regards to the overheating problem I was going to put the thermostat in some boiling water and see if it opens. When I had my top hose off there was no coolant flow. I either have a bubble in the system or a bad water pump. How can I test the water pump before i replace it. Its a big job on the 1.5L sohc

Moved.
Fuel, Fire, Timing, Compression
Those are the key components to make an engine run. You are missing one or more.
Check your thermostat ground.

Re: Spark and fuel but no start and over heating
I replaced the coil and reset the ecu today. Crank but no start. I am going to check for codes tomorrow and have my friend that works at the local ford dealership take a look at it after work tomorrow.
