Throw Out Bearing???
Hey guys I have a 93 civic and I have a little problem. My buddy came over and thinks it is my throw our bearing. I can still use the clutch and when I can get it to open up and shift into gear it is fine. I have no leaking or anything. Fluid levels are fine. The car drives fine throughout all the gears. The only thing there is a scratching or rubbing noise starting out in 1st. It does take a little effort to put it in gear, but not much. And the last thing is I can't really down shift. That is when most of the rubbing, scratching and kinda hard to change gears happens. Im not much of a car guy and I wish I knew more, but I would just like some other peoples input on what might be the problem.
Does anyone think something could be wrong with my gears? Or is it something I won't know until everything is taken apart?
Thanks!
