smoke from radiator cap please help

Default smoke from radiator cap please help

93 honda del sol d16z6 vtec. after driving there is a lot of smoke or steam coming from the radiator cap. anyone know what's going on?

Is it secured down good? Is your car running at normal operating temp? Are you too low/overfilled on fluid?

The cap must be bad. Because of the temperature and pressure, there will be "smoke" which is actually steam, but anywho. Make sure the cap is on alllll the way, and then try replacing it. Cheap fix.

if it boils its the your head gasket. it happen to me.have you replace that yet?

yeh but he would overheat all the time from that. I would hope the headgasket is the last step. Its not like changing the gas cap.

check where your radiator cap goes onto. on mine it leaks because its chipped a little. and the cap doesn't lock tight. so i have a little antifreeze leaks. which creates the smoke i see. good thing i have a good radiator i just need to replace it.
