Need help coolant flowing into overflow but not back
My coolant flows into the overflow bottle but doesn't go back. Instead, the upper rad hose shrinks. Could this be a problem with the rad cap???

I believe if your rdaiator cap doesn't seal correctly then thats what happens. Not 100%, but pretty sure.

Yeah, it's like 14 years old with 261,000 miles on it. Time for a change I think. I also just changed the headgasket due to a burnt exhaust valve. I don't see any bubbles from the radiator either.

I was having an issue similar to that. Ended up replacing the head gasket and all went well

Word up...
Check to see if your radiator hoses are still pressurized after you've shut off the car and it has cooled down...
If there is still pressure you need a HG.
