Slipping Tranny?
I have a 97 Civic EX. Lately when I'll press on the break my rpm's will shoot up to 2. And now I'll just be driving along and the rpm's will go up to 4 or 5 when I'm just keeping a constant speed. It doesn't accelerate but it sounds like it switches gears even though I'll still be driving the same speed. If you have any suggestions, that would be great. Thanks.

It was really hot here heat index like 115 and it's a black car and it was sitting in the sun. Would that possible make it do that? It doesn't matter what rpm's it would be, it was just skip when it felt like it.

When my AT started slipping, it went soon after. I'm not sure what would cause it, but slippage in an AT is not good.
