Default Skunk2 intake mani Install problem..

Me and some friends decided to put on my skunk2 mani, and after we got it on and connected everything back up, we crank the car over and it does that rev thing, like it revs up and down at a steady pace... we connected everything back up the way it should be... Maybe there is a bad sensor somewhere?

Also, it leaks coolant like a bitch now.. Its not in one certain spot either, and someone suggested it to be the head gasket, but we did nothing even remotely close to it, so i dont see how it could be that... any suggestions? It was throwing a CEL too, so im heading up to advance auto to see if they can check it for me

yea i figured its the gasket, I don't think its ur iacv or anything because if it was bad..then it would of been bad on the stock intake manifold...and the leaking the coolant thing...can't be anything else other than the hoses

Try using a new intake manifold gasket, you probably are leaking coolant/vacuum through there.

I ordered a new gasket which ill be picking up in the morning... It looked like there was water/coolant like pouring out where the manifold meets the head (maybe a hole in the gasket or something)

Ok, we put on the new gaskets and it ran fine, then all of a sudden when i went to start it up again, it idles really low, it idles at hte last line before it dies. Then, when we give it gas, it doesnt recover back to the normal operating idle, it just dies out. Im out of ideas, and this thing is pissing me the **** off.

listen me and my buddy just did this on his LS hatch everything was put together right and we had all the similar problems. As far as the low idle it sounds like u need to adjust the throttle cable or checck the throttle butterfly to see where its positioned or something.

I have the same problem. So I tighten the cable and it rev really high! Then I adjusted teh throttle under the TB pulley and now it runs better but still a f'ed up idle!

Everything is all fixed now. The throttle body had a small vacuum leak, so we took some hondabond and made a better seal, and everything is running perfect.
