Short Shifter Help
I keep hearing people tell me that short shifters make shifting easier. but than others tell me that honda shifters shift as fast as they can stock and getting one will damage my tranny... whats going on

if you are an inexperienced driver.....the short shifter is almost detromental to your tranny
they do not mess up transmissions, poor drivers do.......the short shifter actually speeds up the shifting action but almost 99% of the peopel that get them do not push the clutch in in accordance to teh new engagement speed of a short shifter which causes premature wear of the syncro's
I suggest getting a Del Sol, GSR or ITR shift lever and be done with it.....they are a bit shorter throw than norml but they are still long enough throw to not create future transmission problems with an average driver
