Shifting Problem (Searched)
I was having trouble going into any gear at all today. For about an hour or so, I had to muscle into a gear and got some grinding. At the worst point, I was stopped at a light and couldn't get into 1st at all for about three minutes. (I felt like a total ***.) I pull into a parking lot to go eat some Pho with some friends, come back about an hour later and it ******* glides into gear as if nothing were wrong. After two hours of consecutive driving, I've still got no problems. Unless if eating Pho magically fixes any/all car problems, I'd like some insight from my fellow HT brethren. Thanks in advance.
Side note: I left my friend's house yesterday and he calls me up while I'm on the way home and tells me I leaked a good amount of fluid. (He didn't know what it was because it was pitch black and he was drunk.) I checked my oil, coolant, P/S, brake, and clutch fluids this morning and I'm good all around. Possible transmission fluid leak... Unless if he just spilled beer on the pavement after I left...
Note: Running on 95 Civic B18C1 Auto to Manual Swap

it could well be old transmission fluid. i had the same trouble with my EG6 sir2 and trying to get into 1st was a bitch at times. i then got advice from http://www.opieoils.co.uk, aka "The Oilman" and he suggested changing the fluid to either Amsoil Synthetic MTF or try Redline. i chose Amsoil and it's smooth gear changing all of the time now.
in the meantime if it's still giving you hassle try releasing the clutch first and then depressing again to try to put it into gear. but never force it if it doesn't wanna go.

Seems like u need to refil or change ur tranny oil.. drain it and refill w GM synchromesh, or royal purple..... I like royal in my tranny. After filling takes about a day of contiinous driving to feel a real difference.
The more you drive it the more you will feel improvement and it will slowly fix hard shifting. This even fixed the problem i had with grinding gears and throwing in reverse. All the shifting issues are now fixed. Took about a week of driving after changing fluids
I highly recommend draining and filling the tranny with fresh oil... honda mtf is good too... a bit $$$

worn springs on the clutch disc and or the pressure plate can cause all types of problems like this. However if it happens again try pumping the clutch pedal. I have seen the slave or the master go with no fuild leaks and do the same thing you have going on
