Shift linkage pin...
I know they're many topics on this, but I could not find an answer...
I'm removing my shift linkage, and the damn punch pin will not budge. I know this was going to be the case with the swap...
I have a 1/4in. punch pin, I've been banging it all night. Not moving, do I have to punch from top?
Any suggestions would kick ***... Thanks...

you can usually only reach it thru the bottom.
I used the shaft from a grinding stone wheel thingie-majig that you can put into a power-hand-drill, the shaft for the grinding stone has just the right diameter for the pin and the shaft also has a hex on the other end so it is easier to hold with vicegrips.
man, good luck.
sometimes sprating wd40 or pb-blaster, thread-loosener stuff will help out. Also, the bigger the hammer the better off you are.

As a last resort you can use the ac tensioning bolt to pop that sucker out. This can mushroom the bolt and render it useless. I was pretty carefull and it did not mushroom and was resused
