Re: rpm's? (spyderracing32)
stock redline on a b18b is 6800 rpm, right about where you should shift
as for launcing i got a act clucth and street tires and pulled off a 2.2 60ft launching around 3k and feathering the clutch

i would shift at 7000 so you'll be in higher rpm for the next gear.. launch depends on your setup.. tires/ suspension or how much grip you can get.. i would say 4,000 or 4,500

Man...I'm not saying your wrong, but I'm open to new ways of launching. Feather the clutch? Wouldn't that lag your race?

Re: rpm's? (CoolJimWhy)
by holding it between 3000 and 3500, i got very little wheel spin, it almost caught immediatley, timeslip doesn't lie, i'd say 2.2 is decent for a 4-door

I have really tight neuspeed suspension. you can sit on my car and it still wont move down. so right at redline would be the best time to shift is basically what everyone is saying correct?
