Default replaced axle...need bearing ?

well, my car has been making that terrible whooping sound that gets louder and faster as i speed up. i figured no problem, ill just swap the axle: nope. not hte problem. so, someone told me it might be the bearing, so i searched and came up with people describing the symptoms as being heard when turning, only i hear it when going STRAIGHT and then it cuts out when i turn. also, my lug nuts were loosened after going 90 on the interstate for an hour (dont ask why i had to get home) so, need some info...thanks in advance

hey.. sorry we couldn't get the axle to you in time..

Either way, have you checked to make sure that your rim hasn't thrown a weight? My g/fs corolla did that same crap, was just a weight missing.. her dads shop put a weight on the rim, and it stopped completely
