Matching D series head to block?
My friend threw a rod bearing in his D16Y8 and had a local Honda yard replace his longblock. I payed him for the block and we picked it up. My other friend and I had gone before to pick it up but did not get it that day. We all remember it having the intake manifold on it. Only problem is, it is not on there now. I asked them the day I picked it up if it had one on it and they said they put it on his new longblock.
We will be going there on Thursday to try to get a manifold or money to compensate for them selling it but I need more evidence than just 3 witnesses and a picture of the valve tops and intake manifold gasket (valves are rusted from them not covering it so I now have to get it hot tanked).
Is there any way to match the intake manifold to the engine such as ID numbers? If so, this will make things much easier for me.
