Removing black plastic piece on a eg hatchies roof?
Ok so the long black plastic piece on the roof of my eg hatch is peeling and showing chrome. I want to take it off and paint it along with the piece that runs by the window above the door handle. I read that piece just has 4 clips and you unclip them by pushing it towards the front of the car but how do i remove the ones on the roof? What should i use to paint SEM semi-gloss black or is there a better choice?

i would just use semi gloss like you said. you dont want that part of your car to draw attention away from the rest. for the ones on the roof i would just tape off what you dont wanna get paint on and do it that way.

There are clips on each end that you slide toward the middle. Pretty hard to describe, the metal clips latches on that sort look like nails.

For the roof moldings:
I slide it towards the front of the car, and it works every time. Push it from the back of the car towards the front.
Use the SEM trim black, that is the closest to OEM you can get. Do not use Gloss or Semi, just the SEM.
