alrite i have a 2000 honda civic si and wen i redline it in second gear it redlines at what it is exposed to but then in third gear it redlines at 7k and in fourth at about 6k. the day it started doing this idling at like 3k but would go back down to regular after a few seconds so we tried using my friends ecu to see if that would make it stop idling weird and it did so we put the regular ecu on it and that when it started to redline all messed up.

its sucky that stuff like that has to happen but sometimes its ecu and only option is buy new ecu...

idle problems.... wtf are you changing ECU's for?
Thats an IACv/FITv/ vaccuum issue

cause when we put in my friends p2p it idled at 1k and i cleaned my iacv way before it started messing up

p2p is for the D16y8, so im assuming this is the canadian civic SI?

no its not its a usdm b16a2 hes jus running that ecu because it is swapped into an ex

So your running a Dual Cam motor with a single cam ECU?

So, tell me this ur friend had p2p running in his car what engine is in his car... is it a Y8 or a B16A2? I'm lost you need to explain better and what ECU are u running in ur car?

ok i have in my car rite now a p2t my friend has the p2p and yes he is runnin a p2p in his b16a2 and it runs perfect i put his ecu in my car to see if that would fix my idling problem and it did but wen i put my ecu bac in it started idling wierd again so i cleaned out my iacv and now its fine. Now i jus need help to see y it redlines at random rpms
