Quick question about taking off power sterring components.
Ok, so i have a 93 civic with power sterring and i want to take off the power sterring but not damage my rack and pinion. So could i just take off the pump, with the belt and bracket, hide the p.s. line under the car. Also, could i just leave fluid with in the p.s. lines and cover the two lines that were connected to the pump with a two open ended hose. A hose that you would use on your radiator to the reservoir. If i do this i will not have to worry about my rack and pinion getting messed up.

yea thats kinda what i did. i didn't remove the hard lines on the body of the car, so i used a two open end hose poured power steering fluid into the bottom line, so the rack is still greased and closed it up by putting the other open end of the hose on the top line.

Again remove the factory lines, and you wont need to hide anything.
