Default Power steering line removal

i have an ek coupe with power steering, swapped in a b series motor , no need for the power steering anymore so i took out the pump and the resivoir, so the only thing left is the line that connects to the rack. There should be no fluid in the line from what i know, but i was wondering if i took off that line from the rack is it going to mess up anything? couldnt find anyhithng on a search

Yep, you want to keep the system sealed. Just removing the hose would leave it open to the elements.
