Ok so today i had a guy chat about hondas with me and all and we was lookn over my del sol and he looked at the vin tag and said it was rare or something because it was blue and vin started with a J. So is there something special about this vin tag or how the vin starts? James

i dont know about "rare" but i know it means it as made in japan, my 93 LX is as well.

IIRC, all del Sols sold in the US were made in Japan.

if it starts with a letter, it's made in Japan (J). If it starts with a number, then it's domestic.

'92-'00 Civics sold in the US tend to be made in Japan (JHM), the US (1HG) and Canada (2HG).

But some 7th gens, like the EP3 (SHH), were made in Europe.
