VIN Number?????
Is there any place on the net that can tell me by just entering the vin number what motor should be in this del sol????ie d16z/b16a??? My girlfriend is looking at a carfax and she want to know if it has a b16 or a d16? we have not seen this car, she wants to know if it is even worth going to see it. I know that if i see it i can tell by just looking at the motor, what i am trying to do is know be for i go. I have not talked to this guy selling. so is there any place that i can do this on besides carfax as all it says is 1.6 l4 fuel inj......

well its really pointless no matter what any carfax or other say it has.... because you wont know truely what it has until you go see it for yourself.

if you have a helm's for a del sol, it will tell you how to decode the vin #. the vin # should indicated what engine the car was originally equiped with.

If you're serious, VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number. Its a 17 character code that contains information about your car, engine type, chassis type, year of production, plant of production ect.

I think he was asking what the specific vin was, not "what is a vin?"
