When you get the fuel injection cleaning from a shop does it clean the IACV? Also, does it mess up the plugs?

Read this post of mine for info on getting your Injectors cleaned *for real*.
After seeing the process used by Rich to clean the injectors you'll see how the ones done at shops is nowhere near as effective.

You will notice a nice difference. Good luck.

MMO and seafoam is good stuff.

Pull plugs, pour 1tsp or so of MMO into plug holes. Leave plugs out. Crank engine for a couple seconds. Leave overnight.

Next day:

Crank engine over for about 5 seconds. Wipe up any oil that came out. Reinstall plugs. Start car and drive it, you'll want to put some skinny pedal into it to clear out the gunk the MMO loosened up. It will smoke a lot until the MMO and crud is outta there.

Then put some Seafoam in a spray bottle and spray it into the throttle body, making sure the engine keeps running. 1/3 to 1/2 can will work.

Now the combustion chamber will be so clean I'll eat off it, providing you pull the head, flip it c. chamber side up, and make me a sandwich.
