IN THE PROCESS: Minime Y7/y8 issues
I was wondering , i was pinning the ecu and was doing the 2 step iacv fix for the 96-98 and needed to take out the orange wire on plug "a", if i cut the wire, do you know if the ecu will read the pin if it is just the pin left on the plug with a small length of wire? or will the ecu read it and throw a code? thanks!

here is the EX (D16y8) Head:
here is the DX (d16y7) Head:
Here are the lines going from the new y8 head to the y7 block
If you look at EX models (d16y8) there is a sensor the mystery y8 line goes to that is not present here on the y7 block, what the hell do i do?

I think that you are talking about the EVAP purge solenoid, it is a black sensor with a vacuum hose in and out and a plug. If that is what you are speaking of, the bottom nipple from the intake manifold goes to one side of it and the other side goes to the charcoal cannister. You should have one on your Y7 manifold bolted to a black bracket. HTH.
