Default problems with my car after motor install

just put in a new motor and reinstall my old transmission, now im having two problems....motor runs perfect and no cel's on, but the shifter is all messed up, it will go into gear but will move side to side like its in neutral or something, and if you wanna put it in reverse its so hard and u gotta push it like way,way over not normal at all..... also when i let the clutch out with the car up in the air i can grab the wheels and hold them from moving. what can the problem b? its a 00 ex btw, also i need to properly bleed my clutch

hmmm i wonder whats up with my tranny tho and the axles, it all worked perfectly before.....could it be that i need to properly bleed my clutch? its like the wheels spin but soon as i grab the wheel it will just stop moving, i yanked the axles out again to make sure the teeth wernt fucked or something and they both looked fine, both sides r doing this btw so wtf

how ddi i install it backwards? all i did was undo the bolt and then bitch pin, i never touched up near the actual shifter itself...but how come it feels so shitty like this? and what about the whole being able to grab the wheel and hold it while in gear?

im thinking maybe, maybe that since my shifters being allw eird that maybe something on my linkage is loose and causing the car to only go into gear somewhat but not fully? make any sence or no? i got no shift gate right now it feels like

its because you have limited slip. (lsd) its supposed to do that so when you turn it wont squeel the tires. if you want to test it have your buddy grab a tire and then you go grab the other. but get ready for some rubber burns.

like everyone said, go check that shift linkage if it feels awkward moving the shifter. You'll be checking where the pin is able to be removed.

If your not grabbing remove the transmission-check and make sure you placed the clutch on correctly and everything is on flushed. Bleed your transmission and fill up..make sure you check your axels are in.

being able to place it in gear with no clutch is your clutch problem..

so being able to place it in gear without the clutch is cause by what exactly? i placed the flywheel and clutch on the right way....is it cause it needs to be bled properly? and i dont think i got lsd its a stock ex tranny.

i know but its supposed to do that. and you have always been able to change gears without the clutch, but you never tried before. most modern trannys are are synchronized so well you can do without, though not recomended. i thought my tranny/shift linkage was messed up too after my third transplant, but it was just me not driving it for a couple weeks. my worry was also reverse, turned out i was pushing the shifter too far right for it to go in easy. you will get used to it. try again a little more gentle.

and unless you remove the slave feed line and lost clutch fluid you shouldn't need to bleed the clutch. just make sure its seated properly

your thinking of a racing LSD where the two wheels will lock up on a straight away but slip one side on a turn. your stock tranny will still perform the slip function but needs preloaded to lock up both wheels on a straight-away.

1 there is no lsd in your car, only one wheel should move..if your vehicle is off, you can move your shifter into any gear.. if its on, expect to hear your synchros grinding. make sure axels are in place, make sure shiftlinkage pin is gonna stay in..lower it..and test..if the vehicle is on and its still going into gear without clutch..its gonna be your throw out bearing, pressure plate, clutch..in that order...

drain and refill..no fluid will have your synchros grindin along each other...its just lubricant..for smooth flow
