plugging in airbags

plugging in airbags
intalling new airbags... do i connect the plugs then connect the battery... or do i connect the plugs after i connect the battery?
sounds like a stupid question i know, but a friend told me to connect the plugs after the battery.. i just dont want them going off on me.

Wouldn't want to charge up the wires and have a spark ignite them, install then connect the battery. That way also if there would be an error, you'll be under the hood connecting the battery if they would go off and not in front of them.

Ive heard of them going off with the battery disconnected (im assuming a static build up in the wiring). I guess there extremely sensitive, so be cautious when plugging them back in!!!

well im replacing ones that were blown.. technically, wouldnt the SRS brain need to be reset in order for them to be armed?
