PLease HELP: IACV 3pin to 2 pin mod NOT WORKING...
Well i swaped a OBD2-a 98 GSR in to a 97 civic DX.... so I obviously had to wire up the vtec selenoid, pressure switch, Knock sensor, Crank sensor.. all went fine
Except the camm IACV mod...
I took out the orange wire and wired in the other 2,,, but wouldnt make the IAC open... so I can ran the 2 wires direct to the computer and still didnt make any difference....
Its as if the computer is not sending any power to the IAC to open it up,,, then I tried running direct power to the IAC and it opened up and idled just fine.....
So i dunno what to do anymore.. PLease help!!!
thanks
Tyler

Are you throwing a code? Just tap the power into a power source and run the signal to the ecu.

Yup I moved the possitive of the IACV to A12,,, and even grounded the Negative to the car ground to make sure it was good...
with a volt meter I test the output power at A12, A13, A14,, and none are giving out power..... I know when i test it in like a 98 integra body it gives out like 8/9volts at cold idle
im going nuts....

The ECU is known to work? Or is that what you meant when talking about the measured voltages out of a 98 GS-R?
Are you getting a code, like Luserkid asked?
Picture of your wiring job?
When you say "I moved the positive of the IACV to A12,,, and even grounded the Negative to the car ground to make sure it was good..." - Even though the 3-wire setup has two leads coming out of the ECU, both are still ground switched with the 3rd wire going to a switched battery source (as Luser said). So when you said "so I ran the 2 wires direct to the computer and still didnt make any difference...." - where did you run these two wires too?
Here's a schematic:

someone's gotta ask the stupid questions... you are using the P72 (or whatever the GSR ecu is) right? or at least something chipped to run that motor with vtec..
