pcm/ecu
alright. i took my car to pep boys to have my engine diagnosed. i just had a d16z swap for a d16a. they diagnosed my problem as having a PCM error and they couldnt work on it.
does anyone know what this means? my tach is going crazy and my speedo bounces around, but the jumpng tach doesnt effect my throttle. it appears to be a computer problem.
after the tach jumps for a while the engine dies?
another forum suggested that my car was in safe mode and that i just put oil in it and unplug my ecu and plug it back in. i dont even know where my ecu is?
can anyone help?

Re: pcm/ecu (floydforlife)
I'm not sure what they problem is, but your ecu is under the carpet in the front passenger footwell. Pull up the carpet and there will be a plate covering it, held on by 4 10mm nuts.
