Default p28 in a 95 vx...

Will i get any gains from doing this p28 ecu in my 95 VX hatch back? I just want to make my VX motor a little bit peppier.... Its my daily dirver.... Will this do any damage to my motor or will the ecu fry?? thanks for any info

you'll get cel from 5 wire o2 sensor. egr on vx wont function since the p28 doesn't have egr. try it ...see what these two missing components do to your car? make it run stronger i dont think so...may make it run richer

plus you will be running crazy rich do to the fact the vx motors can't inhale that good.

you want to make the vx pepier, then swap out the vx transny with an ex or si transny.

IMO i would not use that ecu... find another way to make it "peppier"...

Makes sense... i was just wondering, but a couple of my friends told me to get an ex or si tranny also... I beat it would feel a lot better since the VX tranny has some really really low gear ratio's... Thanks for the info !!

Don't waste your time with a stock P28. I've tried running a P28 on a VX engine with a properly wired 4-wire O2 sensor. The thing was even slower than with the stock P07.

A tuned P28 on a VX engine would probably yield some gains over the stock P07 though. You are gonna lose out on the great gas mileage though.
