VX is not the same as a P28.

If you are doing a mini-me on a VX block i'd suggest not, its a fun tech experience but not worth the minor power gains over swapping a shortblock and head in, or even a tranny with real gearing.

Your're right. Katman has a pic of the serials that show chippable and non, no clue where they are right now though.

One is chippable, one is not. like slammed said.

I don't know if it can be chipped for sure. I could post a pic with the codes and let you decide.

You'll need the codes off the motherboard FYI and chip setup.

Actually they aren't. They are virtually the same ECU they just have different fuel curves and VTEC activation points. The VTEC system works the same as far as the ecu is concerned, but in the P08 head the vtec activates a 2nd cam lobe whereas with the P07 head the VTEC activates the second set of valves.

I'll open it up and take some pics as well. If it can be chipped I'll keep it. Does anyone have the codes? I did a search but no topic for vx ECU.

Yes...as long as the P06 you have is the chippable one.
