The VX uses a P07, not P05.

It's from a 1992-1995 CX I think. I just had a question concerning the P06 just the other day. Because I just got my GSR swap and received the reburnt ECU a few days later. It was supposed to be a P28 done to a P72. But I got a P06 which I had never even heard of.

p06 is a non vtec p28, and p05 is a p06 with 1 wire o2 sensor.

Would it be safe to run the P06 ECM on a d16z6 engine? I know it's the non-vtec ECM with the correct O2 wiring...but that's about all I know about it. I want a P28 but can't afford one right now. What will the effects be, besides no v-tec?

so does that mean a p05 cant be used to run a car that doesnt used the 1-wire o2?

P05 is from a 92-95 CX civic...that's what I started with. It has one 02 sensor wire and could run your engine, but probably won't run very efficiently. 02 sensors with more wiring have the potential to sense more with it's additional circuitry... Anyways, the additional wires probably will adjust the air/fuel mixture, within your ECM, in a more timely manner. But you said that you have a chipped ECM...so what's it chipped to do?
