overheating!!!
i have a 93 del sol and it started overheating today and i have plenty of coolant.... i really need to know where and how to check the thermostat and water pump??

did it just overheat out of no where?
have you been hearing any weird noises lately?
what engine do you have?
when my pump went out, a couple days before, it started making some clunking noises. 2 days later it started to get hot then i figured it was that and replaced it.

if your water pump is still circulating coolant, then when you turn the heat on, the heat will be hot. if the thermostat is the issue, then the fan will turn on, but most likely the air its blowing out of the radiator wont be hot. i have seen a lazy thermostat, that still opened, but when the engine got hotter from high rpms,, it would react soon enough, i would start wit h the t-stat
