Opinions... B + H Series
Well.. i have a jdm b16 atm.. and id say a solid 3k to play. Need opinions.. local friends sayin go H while other saying just boost the b16. I know the H is a lil fabby but is it worth it? Ive heard numbers ranging from high 13's to low mids on stock h22's and dont know whos full of ****. wut i do know is my stock b16 runs 14.9 so is an h22 worth it? anyone wanna help tell me wut they think on the matter?

No, H2B. H22 longblock to B-series tranny (with the H2B kit of course)

unless you got an h22 for a good deal it would be hard to get it in for 3k, since youll need new axles and mounts. stock h22 should get at least high 13s cause they run low 14s in ludes. will you be having a shop do the swap or yourself? if a shops doing it than i really doubt you could go with an h22 for 3k or less. I have an h23 and with the motor and all the parts i needed it was probably around 2000-2200 for the motor tranny and all the parts i needed, and thats with doing the swap myself.
if you go the h2b route than you can keep your tranny and axles and mounts and just get the h22 longblock. i dont know how much it would cost because i dont remember how much the h2b plate goes for.

Re: Opinions... B + H Series (turbociviccoupe)
I would go with boosting the 1.6l or slapp a mild build LS block and u will see a differance too... I'm not sure with H22 but i heard there is some understeer...so i would stick to b-series to be safe....but its ur $$ so I'll let you tell it.

true wut i been thinkin though is... once the h goes in.. it stays in.. since u gotta cut everything up to make the beast fit in there. i am kinda leaning toward boosting my 1.6 stock around 8-9 and just leave it at that.. prbly run be mid/high 12s on decent tune. Ive heard of stock b16's runnin 12lbs at the track and pushin high 13's with all stock motor.
wut r ur cons to doing sumthing like that? (not runnin 12lbs just boosting in general.)

with an h22 and an h2b plate youre getting the best of both worlds IMO.
you get an h22's hp and its awesome torque, throw in a gsr, or itr, or b16 w/ ls 5th tranny and youll love it.
its a hard decision between turbo b16 and h22 but I'd take torque over high end hp. and the h22 isnt exactly lacking hp either.

Re: (knockout)
Alchemist has an evolution H2B kit for 1300.00 shipped. You can find a long block H22 from anywhere of 300.00 to 1300.00 depending on how creative you get.
Few extra bucks for misc parts. Sell the B longblock since the head is worth at least 300.00 or more. And should be an easy swapoff.
Could find a rear end wrecked car at a junkyard with an H22 in it.
For a fixed amount of 3g's I would go H2B since a turbo set is continuous maintenance compared to a nice stock all-motor setup.
My 0.02 Good Luck
