oil overfull.....problem???*****searched********
is your oil being over full a a problem i think he said it was like a 1/2 quart to a quart over its a ej1 w/sohc vtec. i told him just to drain some out but hes dumb and says that it isnt going to hurt it. sos i thought that i would go to the honda masses on this one. thanks ahead of time

Too much oil is a very bad thing. 1/2 a quart might be alright but I would still drain it. It will eventually make it back into your intake if you have too much and just make a mess of everything.

so for his sake.......(and mine cuz im really not sure what would happen)what exactly could happen??? engine blow type stuff or not quite that bad. hes been driving it like that for about 2 weeks.

With half a quart probably not a whole lot. Some oil could be making it through the PVC and back into your intake. It might just get a little dirtier. But half a quart I wouldn't worry too much. If it was more you could get into some serious problems.

When the engine oil is to full it will turn into almost a bubble bath type deal. I know i had this happen before. the oil bubbles were coming out the valve cover nipple right into my intake. Also the oil is bubbled all inside = could destory the engine. Just drain the oil and put the correct amount back in.

hopefully all of your knowledge will make him understand that too much oil is BAD. thanx a bunch guys
but maybe if he blows his motor he'll have to swap it..........
